Tip 1: When you would like to rent a house, in most cases you need to pay the rent for an entire year in advance, including deposit. It is very common in Dubai. Make sure you have enough money in your account to pay this amount in advance.
Tip 2: Part-time working is not common in Dubai. Therefore, you see that many women either do not work or work full-time. To combine a full-time job with children, many expats have a nanny at home who takes care of the children while the parents are at work. The houses are also built for this. Many houses have a separate space for the nanny.
Tip 3: If you have children, you must arrange schooling in time. Good schools are often quickly occupied with pupils.
Tip 4: Most shops are open until 22.00 o’ clock, some supermarkets are open 24 hours a day. Government institutions, too, often have longer opening hours.
Tip 5: Buy the Entertainer app. This is an app that includes hundreds of hotels. restaurants, activities that provide discounts. You should think of a 2nd night, meal or activity for free. This app is valid for one year and costs around 100 euros per app (there are various serious). Since restaurants and activities are pricey in Dubai, often the 100 euros is paid back after 1 night of going out or 1 activity. It is worth it, you save a lot of money.
Tip 6: Visit a Friday brunch. The Friday brunch is a big happening in Dubai. Many expats see this as a great opportunity to meet up with friends while enjoying a drink and a snack. These Friday brunch is also included in the Entainer App.

Tip 9: Visit a lady’s night. Every night of the week, there is a lady’s night in a bar or restaurant. It usually means that women’s drinks are free of charge. Some restaurants also offer discounts on food. The best lady’s nights are mostly in the restaurants of the major hotels.
